Every extra character makes it about 58× harder. Ticking "ignore case" cuts that to roughly 34×. Four characters takes minutes, five can take hours, and six or more needs GPU grinding.
Pump.fun's website always picks the address for you, so a custom CA goes through their API instead. The launch guide walks through it. Keep the keypair private until launch, since anyone holding it could create a token at that address first.
Suffixes are the most reliable. The first character of a Solana address is skewed toward some letters, so prefixes that start with lowercase letters can take far longer than the estimate.
